update: "load more" still behaves oddly: sometimes it will load messages above my current position (what I want), but sometimes it decides to load them below, requiring scrolling down to see them. without changing settings this sometimes fixes itself previous: Overall very good, this is the best Mastodon app I've tried. Also thanks for the developer comment, it was very helpful. The "load more" link now behaves as I would expect with that option.

In your preferences set the "Reading position" to "Oldest first", and "Load more" will stay at the same place.

I have to take back 3 stars. The app frequently crashes when typing a post. I have to keep remembering to save drafts, otherwise I risk losing what I've typed. It happens most when I'm writing a longer post. The app will hang and then my phone will reboot and my whole post is lost. It's happening more frequently now. Old review: A great lightweight client for Mastodon. It's fast and easy to use. I'd like to see the ability to save search history for hashtags, etc.

Jumpy/unstable UI and forces you to log in with a fully captured in-app browser instead of just using whatever browser you're already logged in on. Seems fictional but I really have to recommend against anything that trains people to hand out their password like this.
